Short bio

Syler Dane is a Colorado singer-songwriter and producer blending analog 70s soft rock with modern alternative. Recording from his mountain studio in Bailey, CO, he writes nostalgic songs about the warm depths of falling in love and the cold loss of mourning. His new single 'DARK THOUGHTS' is out now, from the upcoming EP 'HYPOXIA'.

Produced from his mountain studio in Bailey, CO, Syler Dane has spent the last several years playing Colorado stages and writing songs between them. From acoustic folk love songs to indie rock anthems, his music is a nostalgic flashback into the warm depths of falling in love and the cold loss of mourning.

After years as a multi-instrumentalist and producer for several bands, Syler honed his craft to bring a new soundscape from inside his head. 'A modern Elliott Smith' with hints of Coldplay, and Father John Misty's alternative songwriting, and a melodic sensibility rooted in classics like the Beatles and Supertramp.

He grew up surrounded by music. His father was a country singer and songwriter, so live music, playing and writing songs were part of Syler's world since before he can remember. Syler spent his childhood writing and performing music for the simple love of making beautiful sounds, and he continues to this day.

'The trees send me all their songs, and I have to write them down before they fade away.'

Syler spends his time bringing songs down from the mountaintop and sharing them with the rest of the world. He is hard at work on his backlog of unreleased songs as he tours and prepares the HYPOXIA EP for release.
